Preschool Policies and Procedures
It is a wonderful privilege to be a parent. Parenting comes with tremendous responsibilities. At Trinity, we want to give parents the opportunity to express the commitment they have made to their children before God in a public setting. While there is no Biblical requirement for us to dedicate our children, it is modeled in scripture. When a family comes for dedication at Trinity Baptist Church they are making a commitment to raise their child in a Godly family. It is also a time for extended family and friends, as well at the Trinity church family to commit to assist the parents in raising their child in a Godly manner. We have family dedications during our worship services 2 times a year. If you have a child in the Lambs or Bunnies, you will be notified when the next family dedication service will occur.
|Visiting the Preschool Ministry
We know that visiting a new church can be overwhelming. We truly desire to make it as friendly as possible for you as you explore what Trinity Baptist has to offer. If you have any questions or comments feel free to contact the Director of Preschool Ministries - Rachael Russell at 759-5955 or email@example.com
When you drive up to Trinity Baptist Church, the best entrance to enter in to is the side entrance that is under the awning. There you will see a Preschool Registration Desk. If you have a child who is Birth through Kindergarten, this is where you will go. Each family will be assigned a pager and pager number. Your child cannot be picked up from the classrooms without the pager.
The children here at Trinity are cared for with the highest possible standards by the loving volunteers and staff at Trinity. During the two worship hours and Sunday school hour, the children are cared for by wonderful volunteers! The worship hour volunteers rotate each month and the Sunday school teachers are there Sunday after Sunday! They all do a great job loving the children and teaching them about Jesus!
On Wednesday nights, childcare is provided for birth through 2. We have children's choir for the 4's and 5's at 6:00. The 3's, 4's and 5's participate in Mission Friends beginning at 6:45. Mission Friends is a way for children to learn about God's love for all people and how missionaries send that message all over the world.
Parents and Preschool Ministry
One of the goals at Trinity is to partner with parents to lead children to know Christ in a way that transforms their daily lives. Deuteronomy 6:6-7 says 'These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.' Given the amount of time we spend with your children each week compared to the time they spend at home, we know that a partnership with parents is essential. Therefore, each week you will be given a Take Home Sheet when you pick up your child. Please do not throw it in the backseat on the way home never to be looked at again! This is a tool for you to use that will let you know exactly what your children learn at church each Sunday. Ask your child what her/she learned. Go over the Bible truth and/or Bible verse. You can also get ideas on how to discuss these truths with them at home and doing 'everyday life'. Below you will find the Bible Truth and Bible Verse for the next few months. Together, we hope that we can make a big impact on the children at Trinity Baptist!
