How can my teen get involved?
The greatest entry point into Flight is our Wednesday night activities. We go out of our way to create an environment that, in addition to being fun and exciting, is provides relevant guidance and meaningful relationships for middle and high school students. Every Wednesday is different, but this time usually includes a mix of a few of the following: a worship band, a message, games, prayer stations, movie clips, and small groups.
Flight currently meets in room 116 on the east side of the church at 6pm on Wednesdays. Most students come early to hang out and eat dinner together, starting at 5:30pm in room 115.
This isn't your grandma's Sunday School. We talk about real stuff in our time together on Sundays, led by a few of our amazing adult volunteers!
We meet Sundays at 9:15am in room 116 and then break into three different groups in different rooms. Currently, students are divided by age groups: 7/8th, 9/10th, 11/12th. All classes are co-ed.
Throughout the year we have all kinds of events like Lake Day, Church Camp, Friday Night Hoops, Girly Burly, Fall Retreat, and...well, the list goes on. These events provide structured opportunities for students to build relationships with each other and go further in their walk with Christ. Check out our upcoming events here!
We believe it is of utmost importance that students have a group to lean on during this part of their lives. That's why we hope every student will eventually make their way into a small group. Ours are divided by gender and age and meet at different times throughout the week, but all seek to accomplish the goal of providing the support and accountability network for students.
If you would like to participate with us in discipling students, please contact Josh via email.
